# Installation

## System requirements

Before installing Tails, please ensure your device meets the following requirements:

1. **Device:** A MacBook with an M1 (or later) Apple Silicon chip.
2. **Operating system:** MacOS 13 or later.

## Download Tails

To download Tails:

1. Visit [withnutshell.com](https://withnutshell.com/)
2. Click the "Download" button at the top of the page
3. Once downloaded, open the installer and follow the installation prompts
